The Pure Whimsy Difference

This isn't just jewelry; it’s a miniature kiln-fired painting. I use the ancient art of Cloisonné, hand-shaping fine silver wires to create the hummingbird’s wings and body. I then fill it with layers of vitreous enamel, or powdered glass, and fire it in my kiln at 1,500°F. Because I work in very small batches, this pendant is part of a limited run. This slow, intentional process results in a luminous, glass-smooth finish that reflects the light just like the iridescent feathers of a real hummingbird.
