Silver & Mixed Metal Mountain Collection

This is my collection of handmade silver mountain jewelry, pieces I fabricate by hand in fine silver, Argentium sterling silver, and mixed metal, shaped after the peaks and ridgelines I have spent my whole life in. Each one is a small talisman for anyone who feels most herself with a mountain in view.

I have lived, skied, and hiked the mountains of New Mexico, Montana, Upstate New York, and Alaska on and off my entire adult life, and they never stop leaving me awed by their beauty and their vastness. That feeling of being small and completely at home at the same time is what I try to hand into every piece here, so you can carry a little of it with you on the days you cannot get to the trail.

Made by hand, from sheet and wire

Every mountain here begins as flat sheet and wire in my hands. I even make my own silver, melting fine silver together with Argentium so it comes out brighter and holds off tarnish better than traditional sterling, and then I stamp, saw, file, sand, and solder each piece myself, one at a time, at my bench. I build them for the life you actually live, sturdy enough to keep up with a real day on the trail, yet light enough that you forget you have them on.

What metal is Pure Whimsy mountain jewelry made from?

Most pieces are made from recycled fine silver and Argentium sterling silver, and some include real 14k gold. I make my own metal by melting fine silver together with Argentium, which is brighter and more tarnish-resistant than traditional sterling.

Are these pieces handmade?

Yes. I hand fabricate every piece from sheet metal and wire, hand stamping, sawing, filing, sanding, and soldering each one myself, one at a time, in my studio.

Will the silver tarnish?

Fine silver and Argentium sterling silver tarnish very little, even less than traditional sterling silver, and every order includes a Pro-Polish pad with simple instructions to keep your piece bright for years. Many pieces are also intentionally oxidized, which is a finish, not tarnish.

Does it arrive gift-ready?

Yes. Every order ships in a branded gift box with a handwritten note and a Pro-Polish pad, tucked into a hand-sewn jewelry bag or finished with a sticker, and sent via USPS Ground Advantage.
